I choose hotels in order not to stoke the Air BnB pressure on local housing. Part of running a hotel is having check-in staff!

I used to work for a company that bought into the positivity cult in a big way. I was almost fired because I wasn't "positive enough" and didn't enjoy the rah rah cult stuff. During one of the rallies, where they had "The Positive Energy Guy" (a real consultant, look him up if you dare.), I was directed to have a private meeting with him.
After his big show and speech about how we have to give our all and be fully energized all of the time and how that will provide us with more energy to reinvest, he stepped off the stage to talk to me. He took a deep breath, smiled, and said "That takes a lot out of you." I looked him in the eye and said "That's not what you just finished pitching to the rest of the company. I appreciate you being honest with me."
It was a very short meeting.
I left the company as soon as I had the opportunity.

People are increasingly fed up with #corporateBullshit and capitalist #enshitification.
We had walkouts in silicon valley and I see an increasing number of people starting coops willing to cater to the commons. It's a difficult path, but worth exploring.

I think it is faster to sketch diagrams by hand, massage the ideas a bit and then only invest time in generating svg, Visio, whatever for documentation.
I refuse to waste time in making pointless (see what I did there?) ppt files with nice diagrams for kick off meetings 😂
