I watched the scenes in London today with despair. So many people who felt it was ok to join a march organised by an ex #EDL leader and known racist/fascist Stephen Yaxley Lennon.
It was a wake up call for me. The majority of us who celebrate our diverse culture and abhor racism must find the courage to speak up and try to find out why so many who don't think they are racist joined the march.

So many people out in Glasgow for the Stand Up To Racism demonstration against racism and the far right. Also some really great speakers, a tonne of cool union banners, and fantastic drums from SheBoom - Europe's largest women's drumming circle. I only took terrible photos 🫣

Mass demonstration against the far right in Glasgow tomorrow - Saturday 7 September.

The demonstration will oppose a far right rally also taking place in Glasgow tomorrow.

The counter-demonstration is organised by Glasgow Stand Up To Racism, and is supported by the Scottish TUC, trade unions, community, faith and refugee rights organisations, artists, comedians and musicians.
