Another week, another protest march...

This time it was Stand Up To Racism - Edinburgh "Reclaim The Streets", in opposition to last week's racist knife attacks in Edinburgh and in support of our neighbours.

There were lots of placards of course. But I particularly liked this one, which summed up the mood well. (Other photos will follow. Sometime.)

Omg! I can’t believe I’ve just heard this man(?) quoting Goebbels!! What the hells going on?
That a public figure in the US feels it is acceptable to quote from the chief propagandist of the Nazis, the man whose vitriol inflamed the country onto the road to the holocaust, is both disgraceful and shameful. They should never be given a voice. Period.

I can’t believe what I saw of Trump and Vance attacking Pres. Zelensky tonight. Disgraceful and disgusting to see these fascists turn on him like a pack of dogs.
A total setup - they were goading and belittling him, but came across as the schoolyard bullied that they always were.
It was extraordinary, I never thought that I’d see that happen in the US.

So many people out in Glasgow for the Stand Up To Racism demonstration against racism and the far right. Also some really great speakers, a tonne of cool union banners, and fantastic drums from SheBoom - Europe's largest women's drumming circle. I only took terrible photos 🫣
