Der #GreyGecko hat mich über 10 Jahre begleitet (muss ich mal präzise nachrechnen) und hat sich die allmähliche Ablösung wirklich verdient.
Welcome #BiciBianca, hier noch im Default-Zustand.
Eventuell wandern weißer Sattel und Bleche 1zu1 auf die Neue :awesome: - Übergangspedale und Gepäckausrüstung folgt die Tage. Akzentfarbe wird noch gesucht (Bordeaux? Purple?..)
Frontbremse noch laut wie ein Truck.. mal sehen was wird. -

So, neue Schlappen (WTB Horizon) und Pedale drauf. Jetzt noch das Schutzblech montieren. Hinten wird einfach - vorne eine Herausforderung. Aber das bekomm ich schon gefrickelt.

Best time in spring: fully new drivetrain, chain, cogs, bottom bracket, the hela hoito. Need to change the brake pads still.
Lower chain stay was pretty scratched and rusty, so cleaned that and put some lacquer I had lying around on it. And it wasn't even clear :D But hey, this bike ain't a beauty contestant either...
And don't want to ride it just yet: there's still melting snow, gravel, salt and shit, so will wait till next week for drier and sunnier conditions, as I want to enjoy the clean and smooth mechanical transmission of energy for once.
Meanwhile riding on my single speeds Sibbo, which isn't fixed gear, but smootjm and lazy rollings with a flywheel and disc brakes.

Ugh, guess this chain ring starts has earned its retirement. The teeth are not yet fully shark fins, but not far from it either.
The Hellsinki salt-gravel-ice is a premium grinding material, or whatevah it is we call "hioma-aine" in the saxophone languages.
Bought new drivetrain, except forgot to get a chain, so assembling the 'roller at a later date and running my spare singlespeed bike until the fixed gear is back in business.

The thing I love most about my #surlybikes is that it can mount and use just a out anything. Fender front 80s 26" cruiser, why not?
I made the n00b mistake of leaving my clip on rear fender on the rack, at highway speeds, oops. The front is now bolt on the rear.

Yes the bars look ridiculous, and I don't care. Comfort wins over all. Actually, I didn't intend for these bars, instead curved mustache cruiser style bars I had on the old franken-bike. But I didn't have a spacer handy and the new stem is 31.8.
This is my old original gravel/commuter bike, but literally has been hanging in my living room for years in pieces. Finally got a coaster brake rear wheel, stripped everything off and made is it a SS Coaster Brake only. 42x18. Needs driveline fixing that I have some ideas on(move front cog in board instead of outside crank) and bars may not stay, but I really like the way it rides. I intended to sell it once I get the right setup, but now of course I reall like it again. Maybe I'll commute on it tomorrow.
