Die Sufis sagen, dass fast jeder Mensch mit der Möglichkeit zur inneren Entwicklung geboren wird, doch dass seine Eltern und seine Umgebung ihn zu einem Juden, einem Christen, einem Hindu oder einem Magier machen und dass er schon bald Vorurteile erwirbt und ungeachtet seiner eigenen Erfahrungen und Überlegungen das akzeptiert, was die anderen sagen. Das wird sein Hindernis. Wenn ein „Gläubiger“ – einer, der an sich gearbeitet hat – stirbt, geht seine Seele in jenen Himmel ein, der dem Zustand der Vollkommenheit entspricht, den sie erlangt hat.
Doch gleichgültig, über wieviel „Wissen“ ein Mensch verfügt – solange er sich nicht gewissenhaft geprüft und sich eingestanden hat, dass er in Wirklichkeit gar nichts weiss, ist alles, was er erworben hat, nichts weiter als „der Wind in seiner Hand“.

I sense criticisms of "McMindfulness," while not without a point, under-appreciate the potential self-righting character of #meditation.
