  1. So I chose something else. But the guy whose turn followed mine was so entranced by the idea, he chose Arcadia!

It’s a fascinating play. Full of all the things that made #Stoppard such a marvelous playwright. It’s being staged at the Old Vic through March 21st. London isn’t in the cards for me, but if it comes to New York, I’m there!

  6. I don't know how I missed the #movie Tulip Fever. I found it when i had a Tom Stoppard marathon the w/e he passed. I've mentioned what a fan i am of the genius, #existentialist playwright

It was so fantastic, I've been meaning to discuss it. He co-wrote the screenplay, which is 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵🤯

    plus, the 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 cast:
    Cristoph Waltz
    Alicia Vikander
    Judi Dench
Tom Hollander (who's done a lot of #Stoppard's work)
also, Cara Delevigne & Zach Galifianakous

    Highly recommend it💙

  19. David Jays on Stoppard (who was an admirer of Thatcher)

"What will the future need from Stoppard? Which plays will last, which fade away? I think the plays that look back at an implausible arcadia or on to an impossible utopia should linger. Stoppard doesn’t address our migrant century, exactly, but his work forms an emblem of the mind on the move: ready to pack up and press on, with only intellectual capital sewn like diamonds into the jacket lining"

  25. Got to see #Leopoldstadt on broadway, Tom #Stoppard's latest play. While there were some obvious flaws (I felt that David Krumholtz was a weak link in an otherwise strong cast, and there was a bit too much exposition disguised as dialog), I really quite liked the play. Reading the reviews today I feel that most of the reviewers didn't quite "get" the play.
