  3. I just made this differential interferogram issued from an #ESA #COPERNICUS #Sentinel1C - #Sentinel1A pair of April 2 and March 27 acquisitions showing the effect of the dramatic #Myanmar #earthquake of March 28.
    Fringe density is incredibly high along the fault. About 250km of the fault were catch by these acquisitions.
    Differential fringe structure is unusual and reminds those observable on glacier displacements or along ice-shelves grounding lines.

  9. Still playing with newly released #Sentinel1C image.

    An Extended Wide swath (EW) image was acquired on south #Groenland by #Sentinel1C on February 6, 2025.

    The day before, a classical Interferometric Wide swat (IW) image was acquired by #Sentinel1A.

    Both images were acquired in polarisation HH - HV.

    I coregister both images like it was an interferometric #InSAR pair and make this short animation showing sea currents variation in this one-day interval.

    So, my InSAR soft compliance with #Sentinel1C strip map (SM), Interferometric Wide swath (IW) and Extended Wide swath (EW) acquisition modes is now fully verified.

  10. Among the #Sentinel1C released images, there is a stripmap one acquired on Milano on January 18, 2025.
    The day before, a TopSAR #Sentinel1A image was acquired on the same area.
    I tried to play with both images despite the fact there were acquired on different mode and different polarization scheme.
    Here is an RGB colour composite made of Sentinel1A VV channel and Sentinel1C HV and HH channels.

  11. Yesterday, it is to say less than two month after #ESA #Sentinel1C 🛰️ launch, a first release of images was made available on #COPERNICUS data space environment to allow users to test their software compatibility.

    So, I tested my soft, the AMSTerEngine which is at the core of the AMSTer Toolbox for #InSAR #timeseries processing.

    And here is the very first result using a #Sentinel1C - #Sentinel1A image pair acquired on January 17 and 16 respectively on Brest, France.

    Consequently, AMSTer Tool box is #Sentinel1C compatible!

    This is just normal since #ESA kept the same format for these new data. However, knowing from long that the only reliable stuff in computing is the on/off button, it is quite a relief.

    A few hours ago, the Sentinel-1C satellite, part of the Copernicus / GMES, was launched from the Kourou spaceport, in French Guiana, atop a Vega-C rocket. After about 1 hour and 44 minutes, the satellite regularly separated from the rocket's last stage and started sending signals. Its final orbit in low Earth orbit will be at an altitude of about 693 kilometers.
