A #Nature study reveals that 445k to 485k tonnes of methane leaked from Nord Stream in 2022. Initial estimates suggested a range of 75k to 230k tonnes. Several satellites helped to get to these new numbers.

According to the latest survey, 2/3 are using #GDAL on the local file system and only around 16% in the cloud.
It seems the desktop is not dead yet. Despite the widespread promotion of cloud processing and services, with the prevailing notion that everyone should migrate to the cloud.

The commissioning phase is expected to take about four months, although it may extend further. For reference, Sentinel-1A took six months from its launch in April 2014 to become operational in October 2014. Thus, a little more patience may be required.
