  1. The local MLA for Victoria, Nina Krieger, is also the Minister of Public Safety aka Minister of Police. She would be such a good person to phone and ask what she will be doing to ensure police are not inappropriately influencing elected officials through secret messages anymore. (Dare to dream.)

  2. I want to send a fruit basket to whoever finally disclosed the text messages between the deputy Minister of Education and the Deputy Chief of VicPD.

  3. Great news: our elected school board is back on the job, after the province deposed them over not reinstating a police liaison program in schools.

"We must express in the strongest terms how entirely inappropriate it is for the leaders of
municipal police departments or local RCMP detachments to declare their unwillingness to
work with a democratically-elected body, simply because the police disagree with a policy
decision squarely within the scope of that body’s statutorily-assigned responsibilities."
