  1. Runbooks should be airplane safety cards, not 200-page manuals ✈️

In an incident, nobody wants theory.
They want the next safe step.

  2. 🚀 Prepare to be dazzled by GitHub's latest: a glorified to-do list dressed up as "runbooks that run" 🤖, promising to revolutionize your #workflow by... helping you remember what you're supposed to do! 🎩✨ But fear not, as you bask in the glow of #AI that assures you it can write better code than you ever could. 🙄

  7. Runme is primarily in two github repo's stateful/runme and stateful/vscode-runme, but this does a better job of explaining how the pieces fit together.

  8. I give up. If anyone who understands #Azure #Runbooks can explain to me why EVERY command related to virtual machines results in a NullReferenceException + FullyQualifiedErrorId, I'd be much obliged. The samples are horribly incomplete, and require knowledge not supplied in it.

  10. To get everyone prepared and have a tool at hand when shit hits the fan... we are leaning heavy into #runbooks this year.

Great preparation not only for new team members, but also for everyone else. We are taking the time and write down all the experience of the past year.
