  1. Raspberry Pi Pico W in Home Assistant verwenden

Was macht man damit?

    Sigo... solo un poco más...🧵

  5. Ok, managed to get this working. Aside from the physical wiring, there's actually nothing to be done at all! All the software is already installed as part of the Pico plugin for Visual Studio. I just needed to enter the debug view, and run with the debugger. Everything else is automatic.

It even respects the "set(PICO_NO_FLASH 1)" directive, uploading the program directly to RAM to avoid burning a hole in the flash during iteration. #raspberrypi #RaspberryPico

  7. Is there a decent how-to on how to setup the Pico probe (or a second Pico acting as probe) stuff so that I can just click the “Run" button on Visual Studio and the program gets deployed to the probed Pico without me having to do anything? #raspberrypi #RaspberryPico

  11. Well fuck! Can’t be more classic mistake - swapping tx and rx! Cutting traces and bodging the tx( the one I really needed) fixed but .. brand new pcb ffs.

  12. I want to connect a LORA and a rassbery pi pico, what should I know when connecting them? ("friend" gifted the parts and i can't really ask them for help, nor have I been able to play with rasbeery pico-s much, I have childhood electronic board-basic level of practical understanding of electronics with high school physics theory-understanding)
Should I just give up or can I connect them? Mao?

  22. I've "temporarily" given up on emulating MZ-80K floppy disks :(

Instead, I've implemented Pico 2 support (by underclocking it by a third and adding a delay in the software!)

  25. Made some mini #midi 3v3 interface boards to easily add midi to microcontroller projects (mostly #rp2040 #raspberrypico these days) They even have micro leds that tell you when signal flows in or out.

  27. Finally done! Built myself a 2nd #chrumm diy #keyboard for the home office.

Added a #trackpoint module in the middle, which was both straightforward and a lot of work, but totally worth it 😀

    1. tested if the model works connected directly to the #RaspberryPico using #QMK firmware
    2. modified body STL in #FreeCAD to create space for the module and cables
    3. Print once. Goto 2.
    4. Print again
    5. Assembly
    6. Drillling
    7. Hand-cured painted-on resin for a nice waterproof finish for the trackpoint

  32. Currently using CircuitPython on a Raspberry Pico W in an IoT research project.

I've found when a sensor stops reporting, it is difficult to determine why, especially if we rely on reporting the errors over WiFi.

The pico will blink twice every 5 seconds, which appears to be a way of CircuitPython to report a general exception occurred, even though we catch all exceptions.

I'm curious if anyone has run into this and any tips they might have?
