  1. #Programmimg #Ugh ...

I am both looking forward to toying with threads and dreading having to implement and debug them.
I will also need threads to be able to fully test my network node implementation...

I'll do it tomorrow, I've lost the correct headspace for programming righ now.

  6. Don’t fear errors—embrace them! Each mistake is a lesson in disguise. With determination, every bug you fix brings you closer to coding mastery.

  12. Latest work on GWorkspace.app -- specifically, the GWorkspace Dock (NOT the Window Maker one) has had its default icon size increased to 64px, and it now runs the full height of the screen, minus the menubar. It can be on the left or right, your choice. Next step is to move the recycler to the bottom, where it should stay; the order is pinned apps, then active unpinned apps, then the recycler fixed at the bottom.

Why this change? The Dock constantly moves shit on you when it's centred. Nothing should ever move unless you manually move it, that's basic usability.

  17. I did a video about SOLID principles a few months ago and had a viewer comment that my interpretation of the Interface Segregation Principle was wrong.

    Turns out he was right!

I did a write up about it as it was quite interesting to see the different versions.

  21. I need something like “Rust for busy Web Developers” - an opinionated guide to building apps with a Rust that throws you right into the business code, introducing the heavy technical aspects one at a time.

Is there anything like that - or is it simply impossible separating one from the other?
