Your passcode is protected speech and you can't be compelled to provide it, while your face and fingerprints are free game if the border guards want to rifle through your phone.

One can use the --hidden-recipient argument (-R) rather than simply --recipient (-r) to not put the Recipient ID in an encrypted message. This might help to prevent exposure to traffic analysis.
