My resting heart rate is in the 50s this morning, so my standing HR is only in the 80s, provided I don't stand still for too long or go outside in the heat. Almost feels like being a regular person 🤪

It's funny how we're still sometimes having moments where my husband realises that something weird I do isn't just a Bonnie-quirk, it's because of #POTS.
Like if I have to stop eating dinner to get more for one of the kids, I will abandon my dinner at that point. Not really by choice, it's just that standing up sets my heart racing and my body into a variation of fight & flight - I can't be hungry after that, it's gone.

Pre-loading with sports electrolytes so I can: stand up long enough to boil some eggs 🤪 #POTSlife

One of my least favourite chronic illness side effects... My partner and I used to have an entire life after the kids went to bed. We'd cook dinner, watch a movie, play games, talk.

Now I read them stories and immediately go to bed. Even if I've had a nap earlier in the day, I can't stay awake to watch a TV show past 8pm. It's like my body is immune to sleep. A bottomless pit where rest is powerless.
