  1. CF Signals: Secret Cinema – Endlessness [Scordisci]

Scordisci is a London-based record label and event platform that has built its identity around the intersection of techno, experimentation, and electroacoustic composition. Rather than embracing rigid genre boundaries, the label promotes a broader vision of electronic music where conceptual innovation and emotional honesty remain at the forefront. In only two years, the project has brought together a diverse community of artists connected by a shared creative curiosity and a desire to continuously explore new sonic possibilities.

That philosophy takes shape through 2 Years of Scordisci VA001, a compilation gathering twenty-three producers from across the contemporary techno spectrum. More than an anniversary release, the project functions as a collective portrait of the label and the artistic paths it has explored since its inception. Hypnotic rhythms, kinetic energy, atmospheric depth, and radically different approaches coexist within a body of work that finds its unity precisely through diversity.

Among the contributors is Secret Cinema, one of the defining figures of the Dutch electronic scene. Since the early 1990s, Jeroen Verheij has built a career that remains deeply embedded in the history of European techno, creating a catalogue as influential as it is extensive. His presence within this compilation adds a particular dimension to the project, establishing a bridge between generations while demonstrating that innovation can emerge just as naturally from decades of accumulated experience.

His contribution, Endlessness, embodies its title from the very first moments. The track unfolds across a smooth, velvety sonic canvas that seems to stretch beyond its own temporal boundaries. Everything moves through patient and continuous progression, allowing each layer to breathe and expand naturally. Only a handful of carefully placed pauses interrupt the flow, creating brief openings where both track and dancer can regain perspective before returning to the current. There is a fascinating relationship with time at work throughout the composition.

Certain melodic fragments feel as though they emerge from distant eras while others gesture toward futures not yet imagined, generating a sense of nostalgia suspended somewhere between memory and anticipation. By the time the piece reaches its climax, there is no true resolution. Endlessness simply continues to resonate beyond its formal duration, transforming the ending into another form of permanence and reaffirming Secret Cinema’s remarkable ability to construct sonic spaces where time itself appears to lose its usual limits.

  2. CF Signals: Melina Genchi – Fuego [Behind The Noise]

Behind The Noise, based in Mexico, operates beyond the traditional idea of a label. Its catalog unfolds as an expanding network, bringing together underground explorations and more open dancefloor readings, guided by a sense of sonic clarity and curatorial openness. There’s a sense of movement within its structure—artists from different contexts converge here, shaping and projecting their sound.

From Necochea, Melina Genchi develops a trajectory that moves across various electronic territories before settling into a refined balance. Her language is built on the coexistence of melody and drive, a tension that remains active rather than resolved. Darkness within her sound doesn’t weigh down; it circulates, becoming rhythm.

Her approach blends deep melodic layers with dense atmospheres and a groove that moves with steady magnetism. Positioned between Indie Dance, Melodic Techno, and Peak Time, her sound creates an enveloping field, where vocals—filtered, almost mechanical—thread through the structure. The dancefloor becomes a continuous space, sustained by an energy that persists.

With releases across labels in Italy, Romania, and Brazil, her production work reinforces an identity rooted in melodic tension and rhythmic clarity. Each track unfolds as a moving surface, where elements align with precision and a dark tonal core remains present.

On Behind The Noise, she presents Fuego, a two-tracker that condenses this direction. The title track unfolds in a space where Indie Dance and Dark Disco intertwine, with a techno pulse running through its core. The groove establishes itself firmly, anchoring the body early on.

The vocal line carries a direct presence, infused with a sensual tone that integrates seamlessly into the rhythm. Its repetition builds familiarity, grounding the listener as surrounding layers expand outward. There’s an incandescent warmth within the texture, a vibration that sustains and spreads across the dancefloor.

The track finds its strength in this combination: a clear structure, a steady rhythm, and an atmosphere that envelops without excess. Fuego stands as a piece designed for movement, where the body aligns with an energy that remains active, circling within its own continuous flow.

  3. CF Premiere: cat can do, Carara – Our Perception [Diffuse Reality Records]

There are two geographies that, when it comes to electronic music —and techno in particular, though not only techno— appear again and again as unavoidable references: Spain and Germany. Germany experienced a historical and almost mythological acceleration following the Fall of the Berlin Wall, when the empty spaces of a reunified city became the perfect stage for a new club culture to take deep root. Spain, for its part, has never needed such a dramatic founding moment —it has simply been there, continuously and consistently, establishing itself as one of the territories where electronic music pulses with the most force and authenticity. Two countries, two different stories, one shared drive.

It’s precisely at that intersection where the meeting between cat can do and Carara makes complete sense. Originally from Canada and now based in Alicante, cat can do has built an enviable reputation for his agility with analog machines and an improvisational ability that sounds so organic and natural it almost seems effortless —though behind it lie years of work and cultivated sensitivity. Carara, meanwhile, brings a techno strength and rhythmic versatility that moves comfortably across the full breadth of that supergenre. These aren’t two opposing sounds complementing each other through contrast: they’re two visions that share the same underlying language.

Their relationship didn’t start here. They had already crossed paths on the Spanish label Diffuse Reality Records, where the German remixed the Spaniard in a release for which Club Furies had the exclusive premiere. That collaboration made clear there was something real between these two artists —a chemistry worth exploring further. And that’s exactly what they’ve done.

Ambient Odyssey is the result of taking that exploration to its fullest extent: a complete collaborative release, once again on Diffuse Reality Records, made up of seven original tracks that are, frankly, spectacular. This isn’t a collection of loosely related tracks sharing the same sleeve —it’s a cohesive work with clear direction and a sonic identity that can only emerge when two artists truly listen to each other.

    https://soundcloud.com/clubfuriess/cfp-cat-can-do-carara-our-perception-drss1375

«Our Perception» is one of those tracks that stays with you. It’s a series of sonic bulbs that together present a uniform whole —latent, alive, filled with a growing excitement mediated by sensations of precision and anticipation. The track stabilizes on high notes, climbs toward delirium, and then does something that’s rarely executed with this much grace: it suspends itself. It holds in ethereal notes that graze silence while the body sinks into ecstasy, and the sound reaches its peak only to float there placidly, in no hurry to leave.

The transition from that ethereal valley back to perceptive reality is, simply put, spectacular. All that remains is total immersion —surrendering to its pull and letting go. One more reminder, as if any were needed, of why cat can do and Carara are two of our favorite producers right now.
