Tipo post-it su muro umido.
Silenzio.
Tutti i giorni.

Confirmed: several sharp hammer blows on an old #Omnipod Dash will indeed silence it. Not sure why some of them freak out and alarm continuously after being disconnected and discarded. The disconnect of the old pod is built-in to the pod change process, and they usually go quietly.
It really did take quite a few blows on the adhesive covered circuit board side, against a concrete floor. Quite a tough little device.

Oh. My. Sweet. Baby. Jehosephat.
Insulet/Omnipod have finally come out with a goddamn iPhone app after years of “it’s coming!”
It’s… it’s beautiful. In that it’s exactly the same in every way it’s just I don’t have to slog around another android device just for the damn pod.

Omnipod website (omnipod.com) does this thing where, when the page is loading, and while content is still loading, it blurs the page. Once the contents are done loading, it unblurs.
Extremely crazy for a medical company to be doing something so anti-accessible. I literally cannot browse this site without pain. I have fast internet, but their pages still take long enough to load for this to be a hellish problem.

Y'all!
There is an insulin pump in my kitchen, the CGM that will feed it information is connected to my phone, and I have my training appointment booked! This is actually happening!
Anyone who uses #Omnipod have any advice for someone who's never had a pump before?

Just a reminder that #Omnipod still hasn't put out their iOS app yet. Still. No app. Does not exist.
FDA Approval happened Halloween of last year. Pretty sure we're going to get new iOS before they drop the app in the US, and I'm having a hard time seeing how that won't require re-authorization from the FDA.
Come the fuck on Omnipod, get your shit together. It's bluetooth and NFC, you can do it.
#wtf #t1d #diabetes #ios #iphone #fda -
Serious question for those in the know of the #USA #healthcare #bureaucracy which is the #fda:
The #omnipod 5 G6 insulin pod (pump) was approved for iPhone use on 10/20/23 by the FDA. They STILL have not mainstream released their app for iPhone users.
I know I'm an impatient, biased user, but I'm also failing to understand why this wait and "sometime in 2024" could even be viable... usually when the FDA approves something it has to exist exactly the way it was tested. That means they've had to test it on current iOS operating system, and I'm pretty sure the pods are the pods because it just runs on bluetooth and nfc.
What on earth could be taking this long, and how can it even survive a wait of this length considering that iOS will be different by the time they ever get around to releasing it, causing it to need to get FDA cleared all over again, yeah?
If you know how this works, please boost and share your info. While I'm definitely interested in what's going on with this specific device, I'm more curious how the approval process even works. -

@jettastic @sara agreed. I love my #Omnipod but I know it doesn’t work for everyone.
