  3. Welcome to the OLDEST flying #aircraft in the World! This 1911 Blériot XI was manufactured approximately 3 months prior to that held at Old Rheinbeck, New York, USA. This aircraft is part of the Shuttleworth Collection based on the grass airfield at Old Warden, #Bedfordshire, #UK. It is fitted with a three-cylinder 'fan configuration' air-cooled Anzani engine. Due to the significance of this #Blériot XI , its flights are strictly limited to straight 'hops' down the length of the grass #runway at Old Warden, during certain public events. #history #aviation #photography #OldWarden #aviationmuseum #oldestaircraft #ShuttleworthCollection #grassairfeld #museum #BlériotXI #Anzani #aircooled #avgeek #technology #flight #aviationphotography #Mastodonaviation #Mastodonphotography
