For anyone who is an online subscriber to The New York Times: do not read your online edition today, or tommorrow, or any time until the strike[1] ends.
If you are not a subscriber, don't follow any links.
While not reading your edition doesn't cost the NYT any revenue, management will look at the aggregate traffic stats -- and if they see a huge drop in viewership, it's going to change labor negotiations.

Details from the Washington Post about the New York Times employees’ strike and the bargaining issues that led to it.
TL;DR Don’t play Wordle today. Management thinks dragging out negotiations for years is “not an impasse” and is happy to keep paying employees pre-inflation salaries. Union wants a 10% increase to make up for two years of lost raises. Note, that is still less than inflation.

One of the few mementos I have from my father, who worked at the Times my literal entire life until he retired a few years ago, is an old strike sign, presumably from the '81 strike.
I typically avoid the NYT whenever possible so tomorrow won't be any different for me, but y'all should avoid crossing the picket line, which includes playing Wordle and reading The Athletic.
