We got a #lace donation box from someone this week, and I was trying to go through it and sort it out a little bit.

My "helper" thought it would be useful to sit right in it. This did not help.

But I realized that calico cats are perfectly camouflaged for a donated cardboard box of black and white Victorian laces.... It's a good choice, really.

My partner has been fed so many pills in the last few months I'm going insane myself it Imma burn a hospital to the ground.

It's that she needs to talk (not to me in these cases), not shovel more pills down.

I (almost) have a degree in fucking psychology, I consider psychiatry a legal drug distribution system that still shadows all the legal weed in the US.

I'm the one that gets to clean up the mess.

For what it's worth, I find that getting two kittens (especially a brother-sister pair, as opposed to 2 brothers or 2 sisters) greatly reduces the destruction they wreak, as they have each other to play with. Plus, look at them! You wouldn't want to separate those two!

If I were using desktop GUI things more than a terminal and browser on Linux: Before settling on a distro's Gnome based default, also give KDE a try.

In my more moons ago than I can count past experience it was always more polished and helpful in that regard. (but my command line based user habits didn't need it)
