I’ve been using Kagi for the last 10 months, and it served me as well or better than Google, to the point I forgot I wasn’t using G. I’m loving search again. I keep discovering new features, but its (increasing) use of AI (like with G) isn’t one I crave for. #nogoingback

I am so sick of companies bullying staff into a return to the office. It's ableist and it's dehumanising. Time and time again evidence has shown that a large chunk of people are working much better from home (or a location of their choice). It makes no sense. Give people choice and reap the rewards.
We really need to pool all that talent and build better companies together.

I know there are a few of you out there still using Twitter, or at least retaining your accounts there. That's fine, but I know that after I deleted private messages, downloaded all my tweets, and left the account in place for another month or so pointing here, I did finally disable the account and it is now gone.
Two reasons. First, anyone could pay money and get a blue checkmark, posing as me (and there was little to nothing I could do about it) so the excuse of "fighting impersonation" didn't make sense. Second, it counted as an account on the site, as in by having the account there it was an endorsement of Musk and his policies there.
I thought it would be painful to give up thousands of followers, but it wasn't. I have a fraction of the followers here but much better interactions (particularly with #infosec), no ads, and hell of a lot less noise - much more signal.

@OrangeMenace I had the same feeling when that result came through. The relief was tangible. We voted and we hoped that life would different for us here. I was at university when the Omagh bomb went off. It was completely shattering, the fear that we were going back to that. That is why I will always support the #GFA, the feeling of watching the news of Omagh, after we had that hope of change.
