I have finally finished Yu-No, and wow this story was incredible! You really can see how influential this game was, both on Uchikoshi's writing (Zero Escape) and quite a few other pieces of media, and I'm also amazed at how progressive it was for its time.
This truly is an important piece of visual novel history, it really showed what the genre could be capable of, invented the multi-route time travel mystery and paved the way for some great stories that might otherwise never have been written
Yes it has it's issues, it's 30 years old so definitely has some jank, aggravating features, some outdated attitudes and you can tell it was translated in 2010! A lot of the NSFW scenes felt shoehorned in because in 1996 you kinda had to have them to get people to play your game. There's one scene in particular I really wish wasn't there.
I highly recommend playing it with a walkthrough and some content warnings, and if you do you'll experience a truly great story that couldn't be told in another form of media.
If you don't want to play it, all my VODs are up for free permanently on Joystick. We're not quite done with the game yet. I have one bonus ending to get, extras to do and I need to re-record episode 5 as the recording was lost. I should have that sorted by the weekend

It's come to my attention that upcoming content in my Yu-No streams is unlikely to comply with Twitch TOS. I've therefore decided to move my Tuesday streams to https://joystick.tv/u/LumKitty a game streaming website that allows adult content.
You'll need to make an account in advance if you want to watch.
I'm very nervous about migrating to a new website, and the rest of my streams will remain on Twitch for the forseeable future, but I do think this is a good move for me as I'll be able to stream other spicy visual novels in the future.
This isn't a decision I've come to lightly, but the alternatives are I either stop playing the game, or switch to the remake. The remake has its own issues and defeats my purpose, namely examining an important piece of VN history, one that defined the genre for years - warts and all.
I've chosen joystick.tv over OnlyFans or Fansly as it's a more gaming focussed site and is very much queer, trans, furry and VTuber friendly, unlike those two sites!
I hope you can understand why this is necessary and I'd love to see some of you over there, provided you're 18+ and above the age of majority for your region, of course!
Unfortunately if you're watching from a UK IP address there will be age verification, this is legally required and beyond my control

Got inspired to draw Merlin again facing past & future while used Takuya from the 2nd opening of YU-NO as a refference, i do believe it turned out well 😊
(I used Ai to create the backgrounds as i'm not good to create my own & the fire effect thing i have find it on google.)
