Here's what I say about where the sword and sorcery story can start:

Sword and sorcery, on the other hand, is a day in the life of a swashbuckling professional or sorcerer or what-have-you. We meet the hero mid-career. He's swashed a lot of buckles. She's cast a lot of fireballs. To the people she meets along the way, she's the most exciting thing that's ever happened. To her, it's just Tuesday. Assuming days of the week have been invented in your fantasy world.

Doing some #NaNoprep using my Apple Extended Keyboard II. Its thwacks always make me feel so productive

These weren't burning questions, exactly, just things burbling away at the back of my mind as I tried to figure out what I wanted to read or watch next. I mean, yes, I could tell these things are largely sword and sorcery, or low fantasy, but why was that so enjoyable? What makes these stories tick?

And that's how I came up with my theory of

I’ve found NaNoWriMo difficult in the past and given up, but this year maybe things will work out better. One change that may make a difference is discovering that preparing in October for NaNoWriMo November is a thing. It even has a name: Preptober. Advice for Preptober I have seen on YouTube and in other blog posts often involves “the 5 Ps” and “GAPS”.

Heute habe ich vorsichtig gearbeitet. Also: keine großen Texte, eher Mausbewegungen, zwischendurch ausgiebige Pausen und Kühlung des Arms.

Das Ergebnis: 2x das hier. 2x 18 vorbereitete Grafiken für Social Media. Einzelne Fotos muss ich noch ergänzen, ansonsten sind 36 Beitragsgrafiken erstellt. 😇

Ich habe mein Schreibprogramm allerdings nicht auf dem mitgenommenen Notebook.
Das angefangene Manuskript befindet sich nur als #Evernote-Notiz hier. Ist ein bisschen umständlich, aber ich kann dann alles sortieren und einarbeiten, wenn ich wieder in Berlin bin. #schreiben
