#WritingWonders day 1 - My WIP

I'm continuing my #NaNoWriMo2022 draft with a lot less intensity than last month. An untitled #SolarPunk story set in post-crisis era around the year 2121. Written from the POV of 5 friends.

I'm painting a picture of a future worth building. I want to show what regular life feels like in a world where we finally took the #ClimateCrisis seriously and rallied together to save all we can.

Anyone else in the "what now?" Post #NaNoWriMo2022 slump?

Logically and obviously the answers are "take a rest, you've earned it" followed by "then keep writing, you've got the habit now!"

For inexplicable reasons, neither of these answers satisfy my brain.

NaNoWriMo has ended in its usual way. I didn't make it to 50k. I discovered something new to enhance my flow. This was my fourth year, straight. Which is why I keep doing it.

My first cat book was well received and I've been working on a second one since. There's been a LOT going on, of course.🤣🙏

As a #Spoonie Writer (are you a #SpoonieWriter? let's find each other) I am only somewhat functional at times. Yet I can write a good cat advice post even so. Especially when I go over it later to polish it and make my ideas clear. I have spent my entire adult life learning the subject. My blog posts have a set structure for SEO and customized for my purposes. I have templates to work in.

But not with fiction. Dictation didn't work for nonfiction. But it's doing wonders for me with my fiction.

I forgot how weird I feel when I finish a story, even if it's just a first draft. Anyway, today is better, so far, I think 🤞 Might even manage to #write tonight

Total word count, 40,023 words. I'm so happy with the progress I made on this project. It's a rough draft that needs a lot of work, but I have a solid start.

#NaNoWriMo2022 at 46850 words. I gave up on a full novel half way realizing that I cant just pants through 50k words of story at this speed. I need more time for my brain to sort the story out.

About 14k is therapeutic journaling/ranting, good complement to my actual #therapy. Plus two rough blog drafts and the start of a research plan. On top the 30k of story and background information.

Huge improvement to the past year of writing almost nothing. I've been creating something daily. #AmWriting
