Ich habe soeben auf dem iPad im Bett die 50’000-Wörter-Grenze geknackt. Die Office-App hat zwar keinen Zähler, aber ich bin fast sicher, denn ich habe bestimmt mehr als die noch gefehlt-habenden 636 Wörter geschrieben.

Finishing up NaNoWriMo with a little over 15000 words. It's hard to describe how I feel. This fall I've been more consistently productive in writing than any other period, and it's nice to track progress and see that I'm writing at such a consistent pace.
But I don't know how y'all do it. How do you get 50k words in a month. I'm in awe of some of your productivity.
How's everyone else's NaNoWriMo going?
If you're stuck, write a scene where your antagonist knows it's not going well. How they react might tell you something new.
If you're stuck, have your characters stop for a moment. Maybe they need to catch their breath or tell one another something important.

Are your characters racing against the clock or trying to achieve the outcome? How can you highlight that?
If you're stuck, ask yourself what you can do to raise the stakes. Does something go wrong? Is there a betrayal? An unwanted arrival?

If you're stuck, bring something from the past forward. How does this impact the action now?
If you're stuck, ask what your characters carry. Do they carry these things by habit or for a purpose? Why?
If there is conflict, there will be a difference of opinion. If you're stuck, bring those conflicts to the surface with a quarrel.
I had several bad days in a row where I wasn't able to write--yay string of migraines--but yesterday I managed to get in 5k, so I'm over the 25k threshold now! That puts me a little over 6k behind the expected word count, but the mutiny has happened and people were fed to sharks and I'm excited to discover what happens next. Also, Rayumi is definitely side-character MVP in this book. She's a force to be reckoned with!
Being trapped in a burning building is not suitable for every story. How can you trap your protagonist in an unusual way?
What quirk or tell does your antagonist have which gives away what they're thinking? How can you use that?

Where are your characters today? What does it look like? Who controls it. Who can let them in or out?
Juhu, ich habe soeben die 25'000-Grenze geknackt. 25114 Wörter! Besser spät als nie. Ob ich die nächsten zwei Wochen wohl auch so gut vorankomme? Wie geht es euch so in der Halbzeit?
When all else fails, blow stuff up. Doesn't have to be an actual explosion, but something in our characters' lives goes horribly, horribly wrong.
I never do chapter titles, but Dread Pirate Nasri is changing that, maybe? We'll see how long this lasts. But these chapter titles have popped into my head for each, and they are cracking me up.
Also, I hit 20k today, so I am almost caught up after beginning nearly a week late. Almost every day I've been able to write, I've been able to do 3k, so I feel quite fortunate there.

Wissen sollte man es doch, was gerade auf #nanowrimo23 passiert. Nach einem #shitstorm sondergleichen wurden die Foren der Webseite kürzlich geschlossen. Nach Vorfällen mit einem Moderator für Foren mit minderjährigen Schreibenden, welcher den Kids eine ABDL Seite angedient hatte und nach monatelangem Schweigen und Untätigkeit der Verantwortlichen ist nun der Skandal eskaliert. Noch immer wird über diesen Vorfall seitens nanowrimo geschwiegen. Was tun, ihr Schreibenden?

Voici mon bilan de mon #nanowrimo23 à 12 jours : 23 946 mots.
Je continue toujours sur mon projet de réécriture #2 de la suite de Blanche Neige. Étant partie dans une direction qui ne convenait pas à mes personnages, j'ai dû effacer cinq chapitres : mais c'est bon j'ai rattrapé. J'y vais tranquille, mais j'ai bon espoir de terminer ce que j'ai prévu. 😆
Was short on wordcount yesterday, so I pushed for more again today, and I'm getting places! The story is sticking together in neat ways, too. It likes this constant daily attention.

Day 3 of drafting my #NaNoWriMo project Dread Pirate Nasri!
Got another 3k + change in, putting the word count at over 10k now! Should be 15k if I started on time and stayed on track. But managing 3k 3 days in a row even with a slow brain and a medium pain day is good in my book.
Nasri's been captured, so I've hit the point at which her story diverges from her scene in Let Loose the Fallen and get to explore what happens next (and who she happens to)!
If you're stuck, your protagonist has someone give them advice, but do they take it? How does this impact their actions?
Day 2 of drafting my #NaNoWriMo project Dread Pirate Nasri!
Work count is just over 7k, meaning I got over 3k in both days. This is fantastic especially considering I did the grocery shopping today too, for the week. Brain slowing down now but was a muse to bring migraine into the story. (Not a migraine for me yet--at least, my dog hasn't alerted--but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes later tonight.)
Time to make supper: pepper steak and potatoes!

Either my writing will stop altogether or will be massively reduced. I'm not happy about this, but I committed to this project earlier, unaware that it would become urgent. People are depending on me - unlike the purely personal goal of writing. Oh, well. Life happens. 😢

Quinto día de escritura cumplido. Estoy sorprendido conmigo mismo porque no esperaba cumplir, no esperaba que pudiera escribir tanto y no esperaba que la idea que tenía en la cabeza diera, efectivamente, para una novela.

Bueno, dado que no recibo respuesta, me descubro. Yo sí estoy escribiendo una cosita. A lo mejor lo gafo al decirlo en voz alta, pero qué narices. Dudo 1) que cumpla todos los días 2) que lo termine y 3) más importante aún, que salga algo decente. Pero escribir, escribo.
