Most cards which allow you to sacrifice a food for other abilities don't specify that it must be a Food token.
Lembas is a lot more flexible/useful than you think it is...

Hey mastodon comrades, it's #PortfolioDay baby! Here's some of my latest professional work that's been released.
All of these are for Magic the Gathering as the cadence for release is more frequent than video game work.
The first one is for the recent Lord of the Rings Magic set and the second one with the elf in glowing armour is for the Dungeons & Dragons set.

-- Those who think it's a fine and reasonable tool in a game of Commander; and
-- Blue players who think they should be the only ones able to negate/punish other players for taking perfectly normal steps in gameplay.
If you're ENTIRE strategy is derailed by cards making it hard/impossible for you to cycle through your deck, maybe find a new strategy? 🤷

I went to an #mtglotr pre-release event this weekend! My first event of that kind. I got the pre-release pack, built a 40 card deck and played in a 3 round sealed tournament. It was fun! I didn't get all the cards I wanted, of course, but I got some good ones (Frodo, Sam, Sauron, Mordor Trebuchet), and I did win one match and was rewarded with two boosters. #mtg #lotr

I think one of the best ways that the Magic: The Gathering Lord of the Rings set is paying homage to to the original stories is that by the time I get halfway through reading most of the cards, I've lost interest and moved on to something else.
