I think some of the cards are powerful, but I'm very "meh" on the concept.

I’m hoping to play more than this during Wilds of Eldraine. I should at least be able to make silver in limited, and hopefully will find some standard decks I enjoy.
Interesting that I’m still in the top half of (effectively) the most active players with these numbers.

This is your reminder that Lembas is a Food.
Most cards which allow you to sacrifice a food for other abilities don't specify that it must be a Food token.
Lembas is a lot more flexible/useful than you think it is...

CW: The 'Ban Orcish Bowmasters!' conversation is comprised of two groups:
-- Those who think it's a fine and reasonable tool in a game of Commander; and
-- Blue players who think they should be the only ones able to negate/punish other players for taking perfectly normal steps in gameplay.
If you're ENTIRE strategy is derailed by cards making it hard/impossible for you to cycle through your deck, maybe find a new strategy? 🤷

How is WotC so perpetually bad at creating packaging which doesn't damage the cards, THE MAIN PRODUCT FOR WHICH YOU ARE GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY?!?! 🤯
So many of the "Collector Sample Packs" from the LOTR Commander Decks I've opened are SIGNIFICANTLY bent from being crammed into the packaging which is obviously not sized correctly to accommodate them.
Seriously, people this bad at their job shouldn't have a job. 😒

It's funny how Blue players always want to be the douchiest player at the table, getting in the way of what every other player is trying to do, but the second a card such as Orcish Bowmasters or Veil of Summer starts stifling their ability to do what they want to do, they immediately start screaming for the banhammer.
This is how the rest of us feel playing against them, ALL THE TIME.
There are two things wrong with Magic: The Gathering: Hasbro and Blue.

I'm seeing a lot of shops claiming they've have secured a small second allocation of Lord of the Rings products, but aren't expecting another restock after that.
If true, and LOTR ends up being limited print, you may want to check out the Bundles (if you haven't already). There's a borderless alt-art The One Ring card only available there. If WotC's not making any more, I expect it will start rising in value again.

My favorite scene in The Lord of the Rings was when the 2-4 bands of travelers who were each carrying copies of The One Ring met on a battlefield and started summoning orcs and horrors to fight beside them to try and kill the other group(s). Then, when all but one group was destroyed, everything blinked out of existence until 2-4 new bands of travelers suddenly appeared out of the ether and began engaging in the same behavior.

Today is the @LRRMTG Lord of the Rings Pre-Prerelease event, but since @Graham_LRR sucks at using hashtags, no one other than those who are directly following him are aware of it.
I'm helping him out and attaching some hashtags so it actually shows up in people's feeds.

[Seriously, I love watching these, but can't just set aside 8 hours on a Saturday to watch from the beginning, and tuning in sporadically is unpleasant as hell. If YT can do it for live streams, why can't Twitch? (And I know multi-streaming is damn near impossible for most creators.)]

I think one of the best ways that the Magic: The Gathering Lord of the Rings set is paying homage to to the original stories is that by the time I get halfway through reading most of the cards, I've lost interest and moved on to something else.
