#HairStyleASongOrPoemI see that the Beehive is now taken, but an Irish reference in time for St. Patrick's Day was missed, and so I submit the following:
In Dublin's fair city
Where the girls are so pretty
'Twas there that I first met
Hairdresser MaloneShe wheeled her barber's station,
Throughout the emerald nation
Crying, "Shampoos and Conditioners,
Beehives, Beehives-oh!"Beehives, Beehives-oh!
Beehives, Beehives-oh!
Crying, "Get your Beehives here,
Beehives, Beehives-oh!"

On 13 June 1988 the Molly Malone statue on Grafton Street was unveiled by then-Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alderman Ben Briscoe during the 1988 Dublin Millennium celebrations. The mayor declared 13 June as Molly Malone Day. The statue became known by Dubliners as "The tart with the cart".

In Dublin's Fair City, some tourists are finding the statue of Molly Malone so pretty that stewards have been hired to protect the famous fishmonger's décolletage. Tourists seem to think rubbing the bronze figure's thrupenny bits will bring them good luck (a legend that dates back to the ancient times of 2012, when a tour guide made up the story). Now, the protective covering has begun to wear away from the bronze, and hiring bodyguards will be cheaper than raising the height of the plinth on which Molly stands. "Molly means a lot to a lot of people. We always use Molly Malone as our anthem, as our slogan, as our story. So she represents all of those things," Dublin City Historian in Residence Catherine Scuffil told RTE News. "A woman, independent means, her own trade, working in the city, you know, we should respect her a bit more."

An actual historical-ish cartoon this week. I’ve become an avid listener to the Irish History Podcast by Fin Dwyer. Two days before reaching #Dublin fair city... L'une des deux voix que je rêvais de voir sur scène (fait, au festival de Cornouailles... moment très étrange tellement ça semblait un calvaire d'être sur scène pour elle)
