I've made it 65% of the way through Mistborn, and I'm honestly loving it.
It's incredibly accessible while having pretty deep lore. The characters are diverse and aren't stereotypical cliches straight from fantasy. Women aren't written like their chest size is their entire personality. The plot is a bit like Oceans 11 with added metals and magic.
I absolutely love it. Can't wait to finish it.

@soheb #Mistborn is excellent! I read it last year and it's probably something like my fourth-ish favorite #fantasy story (counting a series as a single story). I really like how the magic system is handled in particular: it has clear fundamental rules and explores the consequences of those rules, but as you go through the story you discover that the rules are actually incomplete (being deliberately vague enough not to spoil anything), so there's a great sense of discovery.
I would definitely recommend reading at least the original trilogy; I think some of the most satisfying moments are in the second and third books. And then the followup series (Wax & Wayne - books 4-7) is excellent too but not *quite* on the same level IMO.

The Bands of Mourning is peak Mistborn Era 2 — big action, sharp character work, and momentum that doesn’t let up. Every character shines, and the audiobook performance is excellent.

New game I played this week:
MIstborn: The Deckbuilding Game - I got this for Christmas! Based on the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. Defeat your rival Allomancers through combat or completing missions. I liked the game and look forward to playing more. I like the metal system and the getting to play cards straight from the market once you level up enough.

The Final Empire (Mistborn 1, 2006)
No sabía qué meter en el ebook y me dije "venga pues Brandon Sanderson que tengo curiosidad". Y un poco por probar acabé cayendo.
Tengo que reconocer que la alomancia como concepto mola, está muy bien desarrollada, un poco como los poderes de MHA se buscan explicaciones de cómo funcionan y posibles usos secundarios de los mismos. Los personajes de Kelsier, Vin, Breeze, Sazed, Ham, Dockson, Marsh... Todos muy bien, hasta los secundarios que aparecen poco están bien desarrollados.
Sufre un poco del "Efecto Sanderson", que es mucho texto entre el inicio que te atrapa y el final explosivo, esa parte intermedia es siempre más floja. Pero aún así muy recomendable, entiendo que de esta novela "autoconclusiva" salieran dos trilogías más.

I haven't read books in a very long time and a friend talked me into giving #Mistborn a try. The #GraphicAudio version is fantastic, and really helped me get into it.
There's a lot of other factors but at the end of the day I guess we're looking for different things from (audio)books.

Maybe this is just me, but when I was tracking books in #Goodreads I almost never #reread anything because the app made it such a pain to enter rereads
Now that I’m on #StoryGraph it’s way easier so I’m rereading all sorts of things and loving it!
(I realize reading log software shouldn’t dictate what I read, it’s a big part of why I switched)
Currently rereading the original #Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, and it’s phenomenal all over again
