I’m in Montréal watching the Pride Parade today. We’re now at the part where there is a mysterious half-hour long gap in the middle of it.

There’s been such a gap in every parade I’ve ever seen. The question of how they form would probably make an interesting thesis topic for an academic somewhere.

@BenjaminAhr just my personal experience — I had a bottom tooth gap closed and now the pressure on the teeth forced together causes chips in the biting surface. It’s hard to add replacement enamel when the chip is so small (plus a cosmetic fix isn’t covered by most insurance and some dentists won’t even do it because the enamel also tends to break off easily so they get blamed for shoddy work.) It’s been a nightmare and I wish I hadn’t had it done
