Thanks to train control, who just held the 20 late 1030 Edinburgh-Kings Cross in a Peterborough loop, so that all of us on the 1100 could hold time. Not sure why they were late, they started losing time at Durham and then they started tripping over other trains' pathing. #UKTrains

On the station this morning: "we are sorry to announce that the 08:08 to Liverpool via Manchester has been cancelled. Your next fast train to Manchester is the 08:08 to Liverpool".

Now I just got an email saying that my train home is cancelled; or, as I'd have put it, starting at the next station, 15 minutes' walk away
