Infos hier: https://tcdh.uni-trier.de/de/event/das-tcdh-bei-der-dhd2026-wien
Bis bald in Wien!
U.a. mit @cnDuKeli, Benjamin Gittel, Julia Röttgermann und mir selbst.

Too busy in the "Ontology / Literary Linked Open Data Critiqueathon" workshop this morning at #DH2025 to even post something about it!
The PowerPoint Karaoke first, and now the fishbowl discussion, really activate everyone and we're diving deep into several literary ontologies, notably: #GOLEM, #INTRO, #POSTDATA and #MiMoText.

@monterosato @benoitmelancon @crihn

@awinkler @MariaHinzmann @fpianz
We have a forthcoming chapter on #MiMoText that (among other things) comments on some aspects of #federation, #interoperability and #infrastructure for #LOD in the #Wikibase / #Wikidata context.
The preprint is available here: https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.12080340

Thanks for mentioning #MiMoText, @fpianz !
Adding @MariaHinzmann to the loop.
Please note that in the case of MiMoText, federated queries work in both directions:
(1) Queries from our MiMoTextBase that fetch data from Wikidata
(2) Queries at the Wikidata endpoint using our MiMoTextBase data, via the "MiMoText ID" included for authors and novels in Wikidata, see e.g. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q862050

Currently on my first long-distance travel in a very long time and it does feel very special and exciting. The destination, South #Korea, is certainly a key factor!
And the program is packed, with four events – and associated dinners ;-) – in the next four days.
So cool to be speaking about our work in #CLS from several projects at @tcdh, including on #Zeta, #MiMoText, #ELTeC and @CLSinfra. I'm also very eager to learn more about Korean DH research!

@SethRudy Missing some context here, but may I offer a carefully curated corpus of 200 French Eighteenth-Century novels with solid metadata and available in various file formats, among them XML-TEI? https://github.com/MiMoText/roman18
#corpus #mimotext #novels #TEI #French @tcdh
(And with thanks to @stefan_hessbrueggen for the pointer to this post!)

The week before the amazing #DH2023 @fpianz presented a possible future of federation (& collaboration) in the #wikibase ecosystem 👇🤩 during a great workshop about "Ontologies in narrative and fiction" (extending a #MiMoText visualization adapting an image by D.Shick, blogpost by @lozross).

At #DH2023, it's really palpable just how quickly #Wikidata is gaining traction in the #DigitalHumanities: #MiMoText workshop plus at least a handful of papers and projects using it. And just in time for #DH2023, an extension of our tutorial is now online: We have created a section on the visualizations of the #Wikibase Query Service infrastructure. The page gives an overview of the various possibilities to display your #SPARQL query results. 🤩 Check it out at: https://mimotext.github.io/MiMoTextBase_Tutorial/visualizations.html .

Today the #DH2023 starts 🎉 and we as #MiMoText team have the great pleasure to be part of it with the workshop "SPARQL for (digital) Humanists - Querying #Wikidata and the MiMoTextBase". 😀
We have created an online #SPARQL tutorial that teaches basics and also some advanced queries using our knowledge graph on the 18th century French novel as an example: https://docs.mimotext.uni-trier.de.

Abstract: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8107666

Today, the "Digital Romanistics" in #Switzerland group hosts a series of talks at #Basel University on 18th-19th century #French literature and distant reading. With Anne-Sophie Bories, Simon Gabay, Hugues Marchal and myself. I'll be speaking about #MiMoText: "Linked Open Literary History / L’histoire littéraire ouverte en réseau" (in French). More information: https://digitalromanistics.github.io/program.html#may – My slides: https://mimotext.github.io/lod-lithist/fra.html#/
