I'm drinking my home rewed Honey Tripel. I used honey from my bee hive instead of candi sugar and also fermented it with a wild yeast culture I got out of some honey from a neighbor's hive 12 years ago.

Ik heb een vraag voor mijn Belgische en Nederlandse #biervrienden.
De afgelopen zomer kocht ik in Frankrijk een paar flesjes Westmalle Tripel.Dat viel tegen. Te zoet. Terug thuis heb ik een flesje geproefd uit de oude voorraad, maar die was prima. Herkenbaar.
Is de Westmalle Tripel die in Frankrijk verkocht wordt een andere dan bij ons in het noorden? Het zal toch niet zo zijn dat het recept permanent is aangepast, hoop ik?

(ik had bijna 'biertje' geschreven, in die typisch Nederlandse verkleinvorm, waarmee graag ons genot terugbrengen tot een niveau van geneugten die nog nèt te verantwoorden zijn als wij er op later tijdstip verantwoording over moeten afleggen)

Today after walking all around Oslo, I had myself a La Trappe Tripel and my wife got Lindeman's Kriek. Both were delicious, but in completely different ways. We also devoured a giant chocolate covered cream puff. The tripel made for a good palate cleanser for Anne so that the Kriek could still taste sweet after that glycemic monster.
