My sh*t art has been held up by an important project that keeps stalling, so when I got an arting chance today I ran with it. Dang I was rusty!
In case you're wondering what stuff Ängsull could peddle in a dark Victorian alley the answer is gold. Swedish trolls are rich as creosote. Unfortunately troll gold brings bad luck, so I think it's a double scheme going on.

Yesterday I had a webinar from the Swedish Unemployment Agency that was unusually tone deaf. Today I was rejected from a "safe" job (customer service over the phone). Usually I phase this out and focus on projects that should lead to employment later. But today I wanted to illustrate how it is being unemployed.
It got dark and, I suspect, heavy if you're unemployed like me, so I put this under a cw.

Today's dream is the dream of having just enough with a little bit of extra. That one's hard to illustrate without an explanation. I deliberately chose a naïvistic style for these, since they do look like a child's dreams. Unfortunately a lot of grownups have to dream about it too.

I keep on drawing what I dream about doing. Going on a cruise to work is one of the things; imagine to neither having to cook, clean, nor do laundry for two weeks...

You know - a stable tripod and a remote trigger is such a glorious concept! Since this was a test I didn't even onion skin this, I just pushed things around to see what happened. As per usual my brain checked out too early - animating floor pattern dances is just as headache inducing as dancing them - but with this setup a full dance is actually possible.

I drew my dream motor home (a tiny one on a Vespa Piaggio), and for some reason those are always sold with pics of people drinking coffee In The Wild. It struck me while drawing that I want to do other things while travelling, like
2. visit museums (this is the Natural History Museum of my childhood - they kept a wax figure of Linnaeus in one monter)
3. eat good food at cafés
4. walk in parks -

Today's sh*t art is a bit muted due to my problems with the Wacom driver. Wacom's own FAQ suggests I make a new user on my computer, migrate all my works to that account and install the driver there. Not a big fan. It feels like solving the problem with a clogged ventilation by building a new house and move there instead.
Anyway, merdude is picking shellfish, which I imagine is like picking wild berries for us land folks.

Today's sh*t art is a bit muted due to my problems with the Wacom driver. Wacom's own FAQ suggests I make a new user on my computer, migrate all my works to that account and install the driver there. Not a big fan. It feels like solving the problem with a clogged ventilation by building a new house and move there instead.
Anyway, merdude is picking shellfish, which I imagine is like picking wild berries for us land folks.

I felt like speed drawing, because this is an area where I need to improve A Lot. And our merdude and his moray are fleshing out as characters. Do they need a hashtag of their own?
(For the numbers inclined - I spent somewhere between 30 and 60s on each of these.)

Today's sh*t art is a shitty animation. Made in Animation Paper with a wonky Wacom (didn't do much for the art style, but added ~2h work). Still - it's my first time animating in several layers. Worked pretty well.

CW: morbid mermay, caps (in pic)
My art style is coming through fast. I'm looking to improve it, so this is kind of a middle between sh*t art and okay art. When it comes to the merdude I aimed for cutesy, but - given mermaids' diet - things descended into morbidity fast. How do you cook under water anyway?
Also, his pet is not a barracuda, it's a moray. An eel that oscillates between looking terrifying and goofy - like it's singing something.
