#curatorprompts — Public Fediverse posts

@Curator May I ask, are the #CuratorPrompts officially ended? I can only imagine it was a commitment and quite some work, so just asking to understand the situation. Do you maybe by chance know if there's some other account or tag like this that I could possibly try subscribing to? I'm trying to do some beginner art sometimes, and I recently thought of looking into some daily prompts for inspiration; but to my surprise, I failed to find such on the fediverse yet 😢 I know I could jump back to the old prompts from a year ago, but there's some fun in discovering new ones - and in knowing that others will try to... I'm aware of just one other such account, @pixel_dailies, but I'm anxious of posting traditional art with that tag... Or should I?... again - no pressure or nothing, just asking, if that's ok with you...

This was a little experiement based on a previous drawing (https://mastodon.art/@Robiscuit/115884406259911103) which was itself based on an old #CuratorPrompts (#CuratorPrompts184)

I wanted to try a more stylized, children's book type illustration, using my collage + acrylic technique. I think I still have a lot to learn (like overworking the acrylics and losing the collage base) so will keep practising!

Had a go at a #CuratorPrompts from the archives (#CuratorPrompts184) to come up with this, which I think ended up being subconsciously inspired by Over The Garden Wall (one of my favourite animations). 🐸

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 19.
This was a fun diversion that I did to take part in the regular photo reference #CuratorPrompts provided by our admin over here on .ART. The original had a woman on the path, but I loved the idea of a little cat having a sit and watching the falling blossom petals.
Time lapse included here as I never made a full video of it.

@Curator I love the confidence and style of this subject. 😎

I decided to challenge myself a bit on this one. I get impatient and will cut/paste/morph my drawings to fix placement problems but today I made myself just erase and redraw as many times as needed. It wasn't as frustrating as I thought it might be.

Digital "pencil" sketch done on my phone using only pencil, eraser and blend tools. 🎉

@Curator it's been a while since we've had a #CuratorPrompts, hasn't it?

I'm late but it's been a hot minute since I did a #CuratorPrompts (I messed up my the bench really good 🙈)

I have a fondness for sketchy images in black, red and white. The first image in #CuratorPrompts184 was a good inspiration for that.

@Curator

I saw it in the bookshop window, brightly lit in the early morning gloom.

I *had* to tell Clive.

I ran out of town and danced, elated, around bushes across the meadows, to the tree.

Clive was there, cross-legged, his back against the trunk, facing away to where the sun would soon rise.

"Clive! My book's out!"

Clive lowered his booklight, turned to me and smiled.

"And quite a good book it is."

Was I procrastinating by drawing again? Yes. But the photo reference cat in the curator prompts was calling out to me. Can't be helped.

I may or may not be done with this bit of practice. It's been a lot more challenging than I expected - I made a lot of mistakes that I thought I knew to avoid and had to start it over from scratch once. But that's how learning goes I guess 🤷‍♂️
