    Oh wow, old school. I can't find any evidence of AP support for phpBB.

    But FYI I did find LemmyBB, an alternative client for Lemmy that uses phpBB styling (by borrowing some of their GPLv2 code);

  6. @Erlend Sogge Heggen Not a word on #LemmyBB to be found?

    It's exactly what it sounds like, a #Lemmy frontend that mimicks the style of phpBB3. Oh, and it's official.
  7. With the on-going #RedditMigration, #Lemmy is getting more attention.

    Are you aware that there is an alternative #frontend to Lemmy? It is called #LemmyBB.

    “LemmyBB” is a custom frontend for Lemmy which makes the UI look like the #phpBB #forum software with #ActivityPub functionality.

    The source code is available here: github.com/LemmyNet/lemmyBB

    We can probably even say that we now have an ActivityPub forum software; and all we need was a different frontend for an existing fediverse software.

  8. I've often said that we need a Fediverse alternative to Reddit. I tried #lemmyBB but it doesn't seem to get much attention and is still very bare-bones.

    Someone pointed me to #kbin (developed by @ernest). It looks great for early stages. I recommend everyone who wants to build a Reddit-type community join.

  9. This is cool! A #frontend (#FE) for #Lemmy called #lemmyBB. LemmyBB gives a Lemmy #Fediverse instance a #phpBB 3.3 look.

    Project git: github.com/LemmyNet/lemmyBB There are two lemmyBB instances listed.

    For those not familiar with Lemmy, I describe it as a #StackExchange-like / #Reddit-like fediverse platform/software. LemmyBB changes the look into a phpBB forums #UI.

    I think this opens up the possibility of seeing fediverse forums. The backend is Lemmy, but the frontend is forum-like. It doesn't have to be a layout from an existing forum project, it only has to have a forum layout: Categories > Forum > Thread.
