Quick shoutout since I've had quite a bit of fun with "wiz", a "one-dimensional magic" shooter by @torcado made for Ludum Dare 55: https://torcado.itch.io/wiz

You move to the left or right, charging up a spell the longer you keep moving in one direction, resulting in higher damage and bigger area of effect. However, if an enemy bullet hits anywhere along your trajectory, that will break the spell and damage you. Really neat risk vs. reward that's easy to learn, but hard to master.

My game pentamania placed 148/462 in Ludum Dare 55.

My goals were:
- 3D ❌
- Unique mechanics ✅
- Music ✅
- Fun ✅

In particular I was anxious to improve my 'FUN' score. In the end I got 131st (3.568), which is a good bit better than my prior entries :)

I was happy enough with the game that I'm working on a small post jam.

#LDJam is over! between recovering from the flu and lacking sleep I didn't get much extra time to talk about it at all 😭

but the time that I do spent on coding, balancing, thanking my friends for their beautiful assets was super worth it! I can't be more proud with the result!

I made a game for #ludumdare using #pico8 You control a little demon to solve puzzles using esoteric programmation, it was pretty fun to make the 25 levels of the game, I wonder how many people will manage to beat it!

Completed my compo submission for #ludumdare #ldjam55 last night! Biggest issue is that hitting an asteroid doesn't affect your velocity, you're just glued there until you burn the other way. People seem to be enjoying it, though!

It's a tough one, but there are some sneaky paths to victory ;)

Just finished doing the music for my #ldjam game and apparently it took me *5 HOURS* and it's still kinda shit 🫠 I'm sick of listening to it at any rate 😅

After summoning our idea, we made good progress for the first day

I decided to take a decidedly hands-on approach in designing my #ldjam game this time. Often times I literally just jump in to the game with a few paragraphs of typed notes.
