Update #4 for my roguelike demo!

Fixed a bunch of behind-the-scenes bugs today — smoother animations, better enemy collisions, and a new red flash when taking damage.

Not much new to show, but it all feels way better to play. Progress is slow (an hour a day if I’m lucky), but steady! ⚔️💀

It took me quite a bit to figure out some AI issues but it was down to a misunderstanding about how #beehave worked. Now I use two decorators to do an infinite loop after the player has been detected.

Enemy object has just been growing more and more which I find fun to look in on, when it eventually gets some proper geometry and animations I can only imagine how large it will get. I am using #Beehave for the AI which is a great free addon for #godot .

I'm trying to get those overdraws removed. The initial thought was that after generating triangles for each #voxel, bottom triangles of the top voxel will have exactly same triangles as top triangles of the bottom voxel..

but no.. of course I had to generate them differently.
My options seem to be:
- generate matching topology of bottom/top faces, left/right, front/back
- figure out an algorithm to remove triangles that cover the same plane/face
