Japfu Peak, #Nagaland’s 2nd highest (as viewed from #Kohima city) for #SilentSunday. Was a great view to start the day. Not the #trekking type but was told it’s popular with trekkers and campers. Altitude ~ 3,048 meters.

#Nagaland’s insurgency is one of the longest and bloodiest standing insurgencies (since 1921) - one that has existed longer than the #Kashmir #insurgency. In this house - now converted to a home stay - is where the Naga aspiration was also officially declared. Pic 3 - those are bullet holes.

Used the XT30’s built in ‘filter’ for the 1st time on this one and it came out quite well. That’s a Baptist church. There’s more American churches in Nagaland than there are in #Mizoram. Personally detest the Prosperity gospel taught by most American churches - leads you to being a Christian for namesake. Glad the #Welsh missionaries reached our (Mizoram) shores and not Americans.
