Another one? Already? A brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner landed in Portland #KPDX from the 787 factory in Charleston #KCHS, as BOE758. Other avgeeks figured out this mostly-white plane, except flower petals on the tail, is LN1303 for China Airlines (Taiwan). Since both bays of the Boeing PDX Paint Hangar are full, also 787-9s, it may have been ferried for paint early because Boeing's parking ramp is full at CHS but not at PDX. In one more sign of Boeing's recovery, the 87th 787 Dreamliner delivery flight of 2025 is in progress. LATAM 9954 (787-9) is enroute from Charleston #CHS / #KCHS to Santiago #SCL / #SCEL. This may be the last 787 delivery of 2025, unless Boeing can deliver any on New Years Eve day. Bicycle ride to Portland Airport #KPDX today: Boeing-owned 787-9 flying from Everett #KPAE for the paint hangar. A mystery is why a 787 came from Everett, since they're all built in Charleston #KCHS for years now. My hunch is a Chinese order (CN reg on ADS-B) was declined due to US trade conflict, stored at PAE. Maybe it has a new buyer or China changed an order. You can start checking the other factors after that gets your attention.
