Time for an #introduction. I'm a historian (#histodons) working on the history of #tea, #coffee and other #intoxicants in #17thcentury and #18thcentury Hamburg/Germany. I'm interested in #earlymodern #bodies, #medicine, #materialculture and #consumption, and #practices of #sendingstuff.
Previously on the #IntoxicatingSpaces team (www.intoxicatingspaces.org), I now work on the #PrizePapers Project (www.prizepapers.de) at Oldenburg University.
Further loves: #baroquemusic, #earlymusic, #viola.

I am looking forward to attending the #opening of the virtual #exhibition of the fantastic #HERA Project #IntoxicatingSpaces (https://www.intoxicatingspaces.org) this week. What are you doing on Wednesday #histodons @histodons? You should attend, too, if you are interested in the impact of ‘new’ intoxicants – #opiates, #tobacco, #sugar, #coffee, #tea, and #chocolate – on Europe’s urban spaces between the #16thcentury and #19thcentury! You can register for the online event here:
