Can you recommend a good image viewer with simple edit functions like IrfanView for Android?

My Xiaomi updated their image viewer into a complete garbage with lots of shitty useless AI crap and I can't even erase parts of the image any more.

@CStamp And market for "stupid" software, too.

A #TextEditor that only load/save text locally, instead of the cloud. An #ImageViewer that only show images. #Document editors which don't capture everything you type to send somewhere.

Software that plays nice with others, exporting/importing into standard formats.

A question for macos users : is there a way to open svg files in Preview ?

I can't believe macos expects the user to install separate software to open/view svgs. The image viewer is not equipped to show svg files in 2023 ? I thought this was a machine for media editing!

a nice review of XnView MP a GREAT full featured Image viewing and sorting program. Me personally I'm fine with Gwenview, But XNView MP has more features, and is cross platform. I do use their XnConvert Batch converter a LOT. Geeksmint has a good breakdown here for anyone that might be interested in something with a few more bells & whistles.

Mit welcher SW schaut man denn unter #Linux viele tausend Bilder in einem Ordner schnell an? Also ich meine einen #ImageViewer, der schnell Thumbnails generiert, sodass man schnell durch sie durchscrollen kann. Die Größe der #Thumbnails sollte anpassbar sein, sodass nur 4 oder 5 pro Reihe zu sehen sind.

#Gwenview ist dafür ganz nett, läuft aber in den neueren Versionen langsamer und stürzt öfter ab.

having said that, does anyone know of a gratis, (preferably #FOSS) lightweight #imageViewer for #Windows that will take URL(s) as launch arguments? Preferably it support a list of URLs that you can navigate back and forth through, but just a single one will suffice too.
I've tried #irfanview, #XnView (classic) and #ImageGlass, but none of then seem to support URLs.

For now I'm just letting #toot open them in a browser, but ideally I'd not launch a browser just to view images.
