Wipe, install, then install #pfSense and flip the Proxmox to be secured behind pfSense, and add a #Ruckus smartzone controller and some other VMs
All without physical access to the machine. Takes me way back to remote #Sun #Sparc installs via a #RS232 #Spiderport :-p

Packed up my T430, moved it to new house, installed.
The iDRAC now cannot display power data. It can display the air & CPU temps (21 & 49 C).
No config changes, no updates (no license), but mysteriously no data.
Could I have shaken loose an actual physical connection in the truck?

Guys, I'm a HP person, meaninh: working mostly with hardware from this co. Now I have an old #Dell #PowerEdge R350, in some other part of the world to administer. I have access to all network resources, passwords, ppl who might help for simple tasks on location, but no it expert.
I need a KVM on the host machine to install proxmox. I wandered through the mazes of Dell's websites and acvountsz but they couldn't help me to buy a license for the #idrac, that allows me to use KVM console. Is there a person who's able and willing to help me? Someone who knows how to get the license and how to install it?

Давайте начнем с определения, что такое iDRAC? Воспользуемся подсказкой, сгенерированной искусственным интеллектом: «Интегрированный контроллер удаленного доступа Dell (iDRAC) — это инструмент, который позволяет ИТ-администраторам удаленно или локально управлять, контролировать и обновлять серверы Dell PowerEdge. iDRAC — это контроллер управления основной платой, встроенный в серверы Dell и включающий в себя как аппаратное, так и программное обеспечение». По сути, с его помощью, у вас есть возможность управлять своей виртуальной машиной! Как правило, эти интерфейсы защищены логином и паролем, но при пентестах бывают случаи, когда обнаруживается, что используются учетные данные по умолчанию, либо имеются уязвимые к раскрытию хэша паролей IPMI v2.0. Итак, допустим, вы нашли учетные данные по умолчанию, которыми обычно являются root:calvin, или, скажем, вы взломали хеш полученный через уязвимость в IPMI. Что дальше? Anyone with a #homelab have a #homeserver with #dell #idrac 8 and been able to get alerts set up? I tried setting up email alerts, didn't work. Soni tried remote syslog to syslog-ng, and it also didn't work. I don't know what else to try.
