I just deployed my Dell iDRAC 6 rust rewrite on my homelab. Now I have no more need for the ancient Java 7 applet based access code.

It was really fascinating to see claude dig into the obfuscated java code and get all the necessary protocol bits out. Could never have done that on my own.

Packed up my T430, moved it to new house, installed.

The iDRAC now cannot display power data. It can display the air & CPU temps (21 & 49 C).

No config changes, no updates (no license), but mysteriously no data.

Could I have shaken loose an actual physical connection in the truck?

Guys, I'm a HP person, meaninh: working mostly with hardware from this co. Now I have an old #Dell #PowerEdge R350, in some other part of the world to administer. I have access to all network resources, passwords, ppl who might help for simple tasks on location, but no it expert.
