E-40 – Tell Me When To Go

#NowPlaying #FalsettoFriday #Rap #HipHop #Hyphy #Vallejo

Only time you’ll ever find me happily groovin’ on a goddamn #BruceHornsby riff is when #E40 is on the mic and Long Beach native #BoRock has his back with that hazy #falsetto of his

THE ROOTS - Game Theory

Sweet, Studio Roots are already back, and this time, it's serious!

Or rather, the band feels it's about time some elder statesmen of the #HipHop scene reflect on The State Of Things, especially when so much #Rap music had gone the way of #Crunk and #Hyphy at the time (to say nothing of #Ringtones). Okay, so Serious #Conscious was *also* a bit of trend in the mid #00s.

This is another album I *almost* love, but lacks something pushing it over. Maybe its too serious?

"Jesus Christ had dreads, so shake 'em / I ain't got none, but I'm planning on growing some / Imagine all the Hebrews going dumb / Dancing on top of chariots and turning tight ones"

I saw this exhibit at the Acropolis Museum in Athens, read the description, and suddenly realised...the ancient Greeks were *ghostriding the chariots*!
