THE ROOTS - Game Theory
Sweet, Studio Roots are already back, and this time, it's serious!
Or rather, the band feels it's about time some elder statesmen of the #HipHop scene reflect on The State Of Things, especially when so much #Rap music had gone the way of #Crunk and #Hyphy at the time (to say nothing of #Ringtones). Okay, so Serious #Conscious was *also* a bit of trend in the mid #00s.
This is another album I *almost* love, but lacks something pushing it over. Maybe its too serious?

THE ROOTS - The Tipping Point
So much for the studio fun, getting back to some straight forward #Funk and #Soul styled #HipHop. Hey, I'm all for hearing the actual BAND do their thing, including another lovely little jam-out towards the end. Sometimes it's good to return to one's, erm, roots.
They couldn't resist jumping on a couple bandwagons tho', some #Crunk and #GFunk styled tracks making their way in too. So it went for most #Rap artists in the mid #00s.
