“Subtleties” is probably the wrong word here:
“15 Go Subtleties You May Not Already Know”, Harrison Cramer (https://harrisoncramer.me/15-go-sublteties-you-may-not-already-know/).

Skip the marketing fluff — I’m after hard-earned #lessonslearned, #tuning tips, and #gotchas from people who’ve actually lived with it. Thank you (2/2)

Last week, I described several approaches to #OpenTelemetry on the JVM, their requirements, and their different results. This week, I want to highlight several #gotchas found across stacks in the zero-code instrumentation.

To anyone who's been forced to #migrate #databases from one #mysql server to another (Both VMs in my case), aside from stopping whatever's writing to the database so you can pull a clean and complete backup, what other things should I be looking out for?
I haven't had to do this kind of thing for ages (like.. a decade?) and I'm wondering if there are any new #gotchas or #caveats I need to look out for.
Thanks in advance. -

(Repost, now that the server is handling the load a bit better)
I'm about to start a #Microsoft stack job (to say the least). In the spirit of best-foot-forward, I've rebuilt my personal driver on #windows #windows11 Plenty to appreciate so far, even if it's not my preferred experience.
I'm re-orienting myself towards a Windows #devenv. Any #recommendations for #tools, #gotchas for dev env set-up, or any not-obvious #tips for making the best of it?
All advice welcome. Thanks in advance!
