    - List of mobile apps on #flathub: flathub.org/en-GB/apps/collect
    - I do not play music, but there is #Gapless installed by default.
    - I listen podcast daily with GNOME Podcasts: flathub.org/en-GB/apps/org.gno

    - I do not use bluetooth, so I cannot say how well it works. I use the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
    - I like that the Librem 5 is produced by a real #Linux first social purpose company.

  2. #Gapless, a light weight foss music player written in GTK4 👇🎧 | (I tried it and I liked it, although it's available as flatpak, it doesn't take up a lot of disk space)

    gitlab.gnome.org/neithern/g4mu

  3. Quand la plateforme de #streaming te gonfle parce qu’elle ne prend pas en compte le #gapless playback, ben tu fais un titre de 9 minutes avec trois parties à l’intérieur 😄

  4. @BrodieOnLinux #PulseAudio is crazy...

Any app (easy to control with #Flatpak) that has Pulseaudio permission can not only output sound, but spy on your mic too.

It is pretty shocking how few apps have native Pipewire support. #Gapless, #Celluloid and #Haruna (modern and nice audio and video players) are all Wayland-native but rely on Pulseaudio.

    Firefox supports pipewire... for webcams??

Pipewire-pulse is no real change, but for sure I can do cool snakey things with the sound stream

  5. UPDATE: New version of #gapless (former #g4music ) released with drag'n'drop feature:

    > Start drag only when the pointer inside the cover image.

    Works great!

    gitlab.gnome.org/neithern/g4mu

  9. Since everybody seems to use #spotify #deezer or #youtubemusic for their #music consumption, people like me, who still have their own music library are more or less left behind.

I still copy files from my laptop to my smartphone and #gnome 's #rhythmbox did exactly that quite nicely. But it's retired for a long time. #gapless is a quite nice alternative, but missing sorting "by date added to music library" and the ability to copy the files directly from the interface to the filemanager. #linux

  10. Why is #google #chromecast so bad? I'm waiting around a full minute before streaming from my #Android device begins.
#Gapless playback is non existant. #Airplay is so much better.

  11. CW: unpopular opinion (Apple Music)

While my daughter would probably be happy to switch to #AppleMusic just for the new #AppleMusicSing, I am holding back to move our family away from #Spotify. As long as the #iOS app is not able to #crossfade and doesn't get an option for #gapless playback on all playlists, #Apple will always lose in my eyes against the others. Music selection and recommendation is equally good on both platforms (for my listing style).
