The App Store rejection saga if finally over. After two more pointless rejection, I got #Flyleaf 2.6 through! Also, the app is now very professional and much official with it's own domain: https://flyleafapp.com

I'm very happy to announce that #Flyleaf update 2.6 is finally available in the #AppStore:
#Tables finally render properly, add #Bluesky threads, import articles from #Readwise Reader, export articles as #Markdown, navigate with a built-in table of contents, and a bunch of other improvements across iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Plus: Fixes for images, videos, reading position, and other pesky paper cuts.

My secret wishlist item for this WWDC was better on-device voice synthesis. Natural language text to speech would be awesome for #Flyleaf. We're kinda maybe getting this this year, but only most recent devices? Looking forward to find out more.

App Review remains a frustrating experience. I submitted #Flyleaf version 2.6 to the #AppStore on Wednesday, assuming I could release them before #WWDC starts on Monday. The iOS version was approved 4 hours later, great! The macOS version also went into review, but has now been stuck at „In Review“ for 4 days, with no way to tell whats going on. My only options are to hope and wait or to resubmit, which both suck.

I’ve got another #Flyleaf #ReadLater update for you.
Version 2.5.3 mainly serves to fix a couple of small but annoying bugs. But wait, I also added a cool new widget type and improved the tags overview, especially for users with lots of tags! Thanks again to everyone who emailed me with bug reports or feature ideas.

Masturbation isn’t the problem. Tone is. From Ozzy’s joyless dick jokes, to Flyleaf’s weaponized shame, to Demi Lovato turning blasphemy into flirtation—three songs, one awkward cultural anxiety. When desire gets treated as either slapstick or sin, art shrinks. Thought is the missing ingredient.

We end the year with a final #Flyleaf update 2.5.1 for iOS and macOS. This updates adds the ability to open and read many kinds of footnotes in a popover instead of having to jump to the very end of an article and back again. This also works for code examples, where you can read the code in full width without line wrapping.
Grab it now from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/flyleaf-read-later/id6475200381
