  1. The man who collapsed yesterday in the Oval Office is a PATIENT of Eli Lily, NOT Gordon Findlay of NovoNordisk as Grok and people on Bluesky were saying.
    Pretty embarrassing for Eli Lily....

  2. Yikes, Trump kinda killing everything he touches this week.

Health care executives for Eli Lilly were meeting with Trump to broker a deal to lower drug prices of the weight-loss drug when an healthcare exec collapsed, his condition unclear.

After giving Andrew Cuomu's political career the kiss of death earlier this week I for one would be staying far away from the bad karma vortex.

  3. Perfect timing for a man on that medication to pass out.
And for Trump not to give a single fuck.
He could watch a man die and be bored it wasn't about him....

  4. @DataDrivenMD The #MSM doesn’t care about consumers, they care about who is paying their bills, and pushing pro-establishment messages. Rather than a cap of $35, Lilly should just charge a maximum of $35. It’s not really $35 when taxpayers pick up the difference. #elilily #insulin #copay #lilly

  6. Honestly, the biggest takeaway of the whole Eli Lily-pocalypse for me is this...

"This prank has done more to bring attention to the shameful state of insulin pricing in the U.S. than anything in decades."

  7. CW: US Healthcare

My partner needs insulin to live; luckily, she's well-insured. Assuming a per-vial price of $300, there's often a few grand worth by the yogurt in the fridge drawer. That she has no copay for it - presumably because the insurer did the calculus that paying for the insulin is cheaper than paying for the consequences of NOT doing so - really illustrates the way that capitalism extorts us for survival.
