If possessing #empathy really was a problem for human flourishing, evolution would be churning out people with fully diagnosable #psychopathy at a far higher rate than 1.2%.
What has happened though, is we’ve built a society rewarding psychopathy with money and power at every step, that’s left the empathically neurotypicals without money or power.
Then finally, the psychos got together and decided that everybody else is flawed.
