Hey you, #X4 pilots,
I set a whole bunch of my Ships to automine. It does work, they haul in the cash. But the skill of the autominer does never go up, not even after hours and hours.
I distinctly remember it levels up after a while. But It was some (cough) years since my last play-though.
Help?

So,
yesterday was my first #X4 Session. I lied. It was like the 4th or so. 1st session was to install base game, expansions and patches in #linux. The following sessions were to configure my #hotas with tons of mappings.
Yesterday. I flew around a bit (while constantly changing the bindings) but it was fun.
But I need #money MONEY!!

I just started a new game of X4. As is tradition, the first session was installing the base game and all the expansions. The second session was binding the X-56 HOTAS to X4 - half way. I predict another 1-2 sessions before I can start flying.
Last time I got the idea of putting the configuration in git. But the same time is needed: Either for setting or remembering all the keys.

I couldn't find a cross referencing link from https://www.egosoft.com yet but I did check back on their Discord and got the confirmation by belgoray that this account is indeed official 🥳
Several people asked for this before and now they sneaked in last year already!

A plushie of the best character ever arrived yesterday! It's a baby Boso Ta from X4: Foundations!

This launched yesterday and so far it's been utterly delightful. The long (*LONG*) awaited return of the aquatic Boron race to the series is also x-panding the internal lore in fascinating and compelling directions. This, in a six year old game.
I'll post some non-spoilery screenshots soon, showing off the gorgeous new designs and systems.

I decided to test #Ubuntu's Steam snap and install #EGOSOFT's #X4Foundations beta for the new #X4KingdomEnd coming out on April 12th.
Everything worked perfectly, meaning I can play X4 on all my computers! (Well, once I format my new translation of the novel Farnham's Legend!)

#X4Foundations by #Egosoft is almost in a category by itself. It's a deep space #simulation that let's you play #grandstrategy *and* first/third-person adventure to whatever degrees you like, switching seamlessly or blending them together to suit your playstyle.
I've been playing them from the first release in 1999 and they've never disappointed.
Do yourself a favor!
